Sun Part is a short loosely-composed piece, recorded the fall of 2015 in my SF apartment.

Stirring Sense is improvised in front of an audience with very little in the way of electronics –– in this case, one delay line fed into a subtle compressor, amplified with a small Gorilla amp; recorded March 2016 at an intimate open mic at the Village Market in the Inner Richmond, curated by Naghmeh Shaf.

Long Worry is the most 'comfort zone' of the three songs –– parallel loops into a large PA. Recorded September of 2014 for the Luggage Store Creative Music Series, curated by Rent Romus.

Stirring Sense & Long Worry are recorded on a low-tech miniature recorder positioned behind the audience –– rather than strive for a 'studio sound' these songs hopefully capture the feeling of 'being there'.

I hope it goes without saying that these recordings focus both on a) publicizing musical moments that I'm for one reason or another particularly proud of and b) fostering the goal of lifelong musical improvement. They do not focus on idealized perfection.

Matt has logged about 20 years on the electric guitar, and has employed live looping techniques since 2001.
